  Research Interests:

  My research interests are on modern animal breeding by means of molecular biotechnology especially in bovine and goat, and genetic variations related to economic traits in livestock or natural variations in wild species. Furthermore, genetic resources investigations in domestic and wild animal species are also part of our work. A primary focus is identification of function genes (quantitative trait loci, QTL) contributing to variation in bovine growth and meat quality traits. Use of markers linked with economic traits in selection programs will greatly facilitate increasing growth and meat quality traits. Comparative genomic approach in livestock will provide DNA data for selection.
